The Governance and Regulations are published as a central and authoritative point of reference for the policies and procedures governing the academic life of Queen Margaret University. It is anticipated that the contents of the Governance and Regulations will evolve over time. For this reason the document will be published primarily in web format, making it easier to update.

Regulations
The 2021 Assessment Regulations apply for all undergraduate and taught postgraduate students with the exception of a small number of students who will follow some of the provisions in the 2017 Assessment Regulations. Details are given in the preface.
The Assessment Regulations must be read in conjunction with our transitional arrangements, which were approved by the University Senate in September 2021 to take account of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The transitional arrangements will be subject to further review by the Senate on 16 March 2022.
