Coronavirus updates – LRC

The Learning Resource Centre is open to QMU staff and students from 8am to 9pm every day. You are able to access our book stock, a limited number of terminals and our group study rooms.  The group study rooms can be booked in the usual way but must be booked 24 hours in advance.  The postgraduate room is also accessible to Postgraduate students during LRC opening periods (no booking required) and is currently located in 1123a in the east end of the LRC.

The Helpdesk is staffed 10am to 2pm weekdays and 1-3pm at the weekend at the physical desk. In addition, Helpdesk staff will be available via email ( / between the hours of 8am and 7pm Monday to Friday and 11-4pm at the weekend.

Our Liaison Librarians continue to work from home, are contactable via email and will provide sessions for staff and students via MS Teams or Collaborate. Staff of the Effective Learning Service also continue to work from home and offer their services in a similar manner.

The University is continuing to monitor closely and follow healthcare and government advice from Health Protection Scotland.
