For undergraduate courses:

Admission to our undergraduate programmes can be made by those holding a relevant diploma or other recognised qualification such as GCE A Levels, International Baccalaureate, American High School Diploma with SAT’s or AP’s or other recognised qualification.

Applicants with Taiwanese Senior High School Graduation Certificate will usually be required to undertake additional study, such as a relevant and acceptable foundation programme such as INTO, or Kaplan. Other alternatives include a relevant and acceptable college qualification such as a Higher National Certificate or Diploma from a UK Further Education College.

Students with a Junior College Diploma would also be considered for entry.

For postgraduate courses:

We will consider applications from students holding a good Bachelors degree from a recognised university.

Please note that the above is given for guidance only and that entry requirements will vary between courses. We may also be looking for a strong Statement of Purpose/Personal Statement, some work experience or specific subjects to have been studied at an advanced level. For more information, see our individual course pages.

Some Taiwanese students explain what they enjoyed most about their time at QMU:

Shuyi Hsieh's story ...

In her home country of Taiwan, Province of China, Shuyi Hsieh works within the Ministry of Culture. After learning about Queen Margaret University's (QMU), Edinburgh, MA Arts, Festival and Cultural Management course at the European Education Fair in Taipei, she leapt at the opportunity to learn more about the management of cultural organisations within this ever-evolving and multi-faceted sector.
