August - Fringe Village at QMU

Queen Margaret University is delighted to be partnering with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in providing affordable accommodation to Artists throughout the Festival period.

With a variety of accommodation offerings, rehearsal spaces, gym facilities, catering outlets and vast amounts of stunning green space, QMU is the all-round package needed to be an ideal base for your Festival stay.

Special Fringe Artists Rate: £269.50 per week, per person

Minimum stay 1 week, rooms to be allocated within shared flats.

Rate includes:

Single ensuite room in one of our self-catering flats
Access to a fully equipped self-catering kitchen which would be shared with other guests within the flat
Bed linen which is changed weekly
Access to self-service laundry (washing machines & driers at low cost) and towels available for hire
Free parking, including vans
Free secure cycle storage
Unlimited access to stunning grounds
Access to academic building with self-serve cafe
Peaceful location (6 minutes by train from Edinburgh city centre)
'Meet the Fringe Team' networking breakfast on site at QMU
Outdoor yoga classes available 3 x per week provided by qualified QMU Sports and Fitness Instructors
Free facilitate open mic / performance nights in Maggie's Cafe Bar

Weekly / monthly gym passes at discounted rates
Access to prop / storage space at discounted rates
Maggie's onsite cafe bar serving, breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks throughout the day
