Accommodation Reception

The Accommodation Reception is located in Block A of the Student Residences and is open daily from 8.00am until 8.00pm. Should you require any assistance or have any questions during your stay please do not hesitate to visit us or contact us on 0131 474 0020. 

If you require any assistance out with reception opening hours, please contact a member of our Campus Operations Team either by phoning 0131 474 0999, or in person at the entrance of the Main Academic Building.  

 

Arrival and Departure

Check-in time: 2.00pm

Check-out time: 10.00am

If you are arriving or departing between the hours of 8am and 8pm please collect/return your key to the Main Academic Building Reception which is adjacent to the Accommodation Reception building. At all other times, please go to the Accommodation Reception.

 

Parking and Transportation:

Free parking is available on campus for guests who are driving. If you are traveling by train, we are located only a few minutes’ walk from Musselburgh train station, more information on our location and directions to our campus can be found here.


Lothian Buses services 4 and 30 operate from campus on a regular basis into the city centre. Timetables are available from reception. Trains run hourly from Musselburgh Station (2 minute walk from campus) to Waverly Station (central Edinburgh). The journey takes 7-9 minutes.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available in all apartments. Connect to the “QMU_Guest network” and open a browser to complete the registration process.

 

Towels

Please note towels are not provided so do remember to bring your own. If you do forget, towels can be hired from Reception for £6 per set (Hand towel and bath towel)

 

Cleaning

Just a reminder that our flats are self-catering, and no cleaning services are provided during your stay. We do however provide fresh linen on a weekly basis which will be delivered to your flat. To avoid any cleaning charges, please ensure you leave the property clean before checking out

 

Guest names

If you’ve booked for a group, please provide us with a list of all guests staying, if you have not done so already.
