QMU takes gold in student awards

By Press Office

Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, has been ranked first in Scotland for Career Prospects in the Whatuni Student Awards (WUSCAs) – an achievement which reflects the incredible support given by our staff in ensuring the employability of graduates and the relevance of our degrees.

Based entirely on student reviews, the WUSCAs are a celebration of the student voice and highlight student satisfaction.

Not only did QMU take home the gold for Career Prospects in Scotland, but also ranked 2nd in Student Support, 2nd for University Halls and 3rd for our Students' Union in Scotland.

The results were announced last night at a ceremony in London which highlighted a rise in student satisfaction across a variety of categories, reflecting  what the organisers see as an overall better student experience across the UK.

"This year’s WUSCAs are a celebration of the extraordinary efforts that institutions put into making student experiences exceptional. I’m honoured to work in the higher education sector and delighted to see significant increases in student satisfaction for both domestic and international students, despite some of the negative press coverage we’ve seen lately."
Simon Emmett, CEO of IDP Connect, the umbrella brand of Whatuni

We are delighted to have achieved such an accolade and are thrilled to give our congratulations to all the other universities which have also been successful in the awards.
