35 Graduate Start-Ups created in our Business Innovation Zone.

In  " Scotland Can Do: Becoming a World- leading Entrepreneurial and Innovative Nation" the Scottish Government set out an ambition for Scotland to become a world-leading entrepreneurial nation. Realising such an ambition will largely depend on equipping Scotland's young people with the mind-set and skills to fuel and realise their entrepreneurial ambitions. .

At QMU enterprise and employability is a fundamental component of academic provision at all levels and  we are keen to encourage current students, recent graduates and alumni to develop as entrepreneurs. We support innovation and enterprise and offer a range of pathways to connect our staff, students and alumni to the community through enterprise start-up activities, business support and social innovation.

Our Business Innovation Zone provides a focus for our enterprise creation activities as we continue to champion entrepreneurship and enterprise by implementing a  programme of activity which will bring about a step-change in the entrepreneurial culture within QMU. We continue to develop incubation services for the creation of graduate start-ups and support for innovation in local companies, recognising the increasing role of the University as a catalyst for regional innovation led economic growth.

Examples of our Graduate Start-Ups can be found in the case studies at the bottom of this page.
