Find your perfect fit at QMU's undergraduate open days

By Press Office

Campus tours, university application advice, course talks and Luca’s ice-cream are just some of the things on offer at Queen Margaret University’s (QMU) up and coming open days.

The undergraduate open days, on Saturday 24th September and Saturday 29th October, will give prospective students the chance to find out about a fantastic range of undergraduate degree courses, as well as getting a feel for QMU and an insight into university life.

The event, which is suitable for those looking to start university in September 2023, will give visitors the chance to chat to academics and current students, view the on-campus student residences and get a good understanding of the degree courses on offer and career opportunities following graduation.

Visitors will be able to choose from a jam-packed timetable of presentations including a ‘Welcome to QMU’ talk, ‘Top Tips for UCAS Applications’, Accommodation, Student Finance and a talk by the Students’ Union team.

The University offers a niche range of undergraduate degree courses in the areas of Health Sciences; Business, Enterprise and Management; Media, Communication and Performing Arts; Social Sciences and Initial Teacher Education. To help visitors get a better insight into these areas, academics will present subject specific talks on, for example, podiatry; nursing; speech sciences; audiology; food science and innovation; public sociology; psychology; film and media; acting and performance; drama; public relations hospitality, tourism and events; and business management. The Queen Margaret Business School will also provide information on the BA (Hons) Business Management (Graduate Apprenticeship).

As well as chatting to academics at the course fair, there will be lots of student helpers available to talk to about settling into student life on campus and what it’s like to study certain degree courses.

The open days will run from 11am – 4pm on Saturday 24th September and Saturday 29th October. Visitors can check out the talk timetable in advance of their visit and register for one of the open day events at UG open day. The University’s online postgraduate open day will run on 17th November ‘22.
