Antonis graduated with a BSc (Hons) Economics for Business degree from Queen Margaret University (QMU), delivered through our Athens-based partner institution Metropolitan College.

Why did you choose to study with one of QMU's collaborative partner institutions, and what attracted you to the course?

I chose to study Economics for Business because it perfectly fits my career aims; it offers a series of modules covering the whole spectrum of economics. Each student could choose the path they wanted to follow for their future and one which is of the greatest interest to them. I chose QMU and Metropolitan College because their course has the subjects properly structured so that students can respond to the theories being taught and apply these in the modern world.

What did you enjoy most about your course?

The aspect of my course that I enjoyed most was when we were doing a theoretical exercise; afterwards, we could apply it to formulas to verify it and understand the meaning of each object. I feel that all the modules in this course were well taught and aimed toward developing knowledge. I cannot single out which module I liked the most because everything was great! I'd recommend anyone who is thinking of applying for this course to go for it because it is a special course that prepares you well for the future and will help you understand your strong points in economics.

What's your' top tip' for making the most of being a student, and what was the most valuable lesson you learned?

My top advice is that university is another chapter where you leave high school and start a "new life". Students will gain knowledge not only for the course they choose to study but also for life. I'd also recommend you look at sources written several years ago to see if they can still be verified today.

Can you tell us about your life post-graduation?

Since graduating, I've discovered that I am interested in working in the financial sector and have decided to specialise in finance & investment and corporate consulting before entering the job market.
