Sarah Paulley is a Lecturer in Drama and Performance in the Media, Communication and Performing Arts Division.

Sarah has a BA Hons in History from Oxford University. She went on to study spatial design at The Architectural Association and theatrical design at the Motley Design School in London. She worked as a professional theatre designer and production manager throughout the UK settling in Scotland in 1990.
There she worked at Glasgow School of Art on a range of multidisciplinary performance projects; developed a yearly Theatre Design Summer School hosted by The Arches in Glasgow and continued to design and production manage for many Scottish and Northern Irish companies
She joined QMU to teach design within the Theatre Production Course and now teaches Scenography on the Drama and Performance Programme and is programme leader for the Costume Design and Construction programme.
Her particular interest is in the practices and process of site specific shows.
