I received my Bachelors in Exercise Science from Bridgewater College in 2014, followed by my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2017. Following my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, I completed a 1-year residency training in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.
I hold a post-doctoral board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and I am a Credentialled Clinical Instructor through the American Board of Physical Therapy.
Throughout my career, I have worked as a full-time clinical physical therapist whilst acting as a Clinical Instructor to doctor of physical therapy students as well as an Adjunct Professor in several physical therapy programs.
My clinical interests include sports rehab, orthopaedics, dry needling and the collaboration of physical therapy sub-specialties in outpatient practice. I spent 8 years in the US private sector in outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy prior to moving to Scotland to enter academia full-time at QMU.
I teach and/or support on the following course areas:
- Foundations of Physiotherapy
- Principles of Rehabilitation
- Complexities in Physiotherapy
