Dr Mengyi Dong is an Assistant Lecturer in Accounting and Finance in the Queen Margaret Business School.

Dr Mengyi Dong completed her education at the University of Glasgow, holding an MAcc in International Accounting and Financial Management and a PhD in Accounting.
Prior to joining QMU, Mengyi worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Glasgow. She also worked as a Research Assistant, working on several projects related to CSR reporting, social justice and accounting. She is also an academic mentor in the Social Enterprise Challenge programme, which was selected as a finalist for the Community Impact Award in the Scottish Impact Awards 2026.
My research interest lies in the social aspects of accounting and reporting practice.
