ABP Accreditation for Business Psychology degree
Queen Margaret University (QMU) is delighted to announce that its BA (Hons) Business Psychology degree has been formally accredited by the Association for Business Psychology (ABP), the UK’s leading professional body dedicated to improving business performance and the quality of working lives through psychology.
The accreditation confirms that QMU’s Business Psychology course meets rigorous professional standards in the teaching and application of psychology within modern organisational settings. It also shines a spotlight on the University’s strong track record in employability, with a curriculum shaped around real‑world industry practice, ethical standards, and the applied skills that employers are looking for in their graduate recruits.
We’re delighted to receive this important accreditation. It means that students on QMU’s BA (Hons) Business Psychology degree will gain eligibility for ABP student membership, access to professional events and networking opportunities, and the chance to engage with industry speakers and applied initiatives such as the ABP Biz Psych Cup. Crucially, this recognition further enhances our graduates’ employability by aligning the degree with the foremost professional benchmark in UK business psychology.
By embedding applied psychological insight and professional development throughout the course, we ensure that our students are exceptionally well prepared for careers in areas such as organisational development, HR, marketing, consultancy, leadership, and change. This accreditation reinforces the value of the hands‑on, real world learning experience that QMU is particularly well known for.
Queen Margaret University welcomes this recognition as a testament to its commitment to delivering industry‑aligned education that equips students with the confidence, capability, and professional identity needed to thrive in the workplace.
