QMU academic to help shape the future of global PR education
A communications academic from Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh has been appointed to a prestigious international advisory board helping to shape the future of public relations and communications education worldwide.
Susannah Morris, Lecturer in Digital Media and Communications and Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Digital Marketing and Public Relations and BA (Hons) Public Relations and Marketing Communications, has joined the Education Advisory Board (EAB) of PRCA Global, the world's largest professional PR body.
The EAB is a strategic forum that champions global standards, professional credibility and lifelong learning across the communications profession. Board members advise on emerging trends including new technologies, skills gaps and talent shortages, helping to ensure education remains relevant in a rapidly evolving industry. The Board also guides the development of learning resources and courses, promotes continuing professional development (CPD), and supports high-quality, ethical learning frameworks.
Commenting on her appointment, Susannah said:
I am delighted to join the PRCA Global Education Advisory Board and contribute to discussions and projects focused on the future of communications education. It is an exciting opportunity to help shape learning and professional development so that graduates and practitioners are equipped with the knowledge, skills and adaptability needed to thrive in a rapidly changing industry.
