QMU's on-campus accommodation shortlisted for four National Student Housing Awards
Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh, is delighted to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in four categories at the prestigious National Student Housing Awards.
QMU's halls of residence stand alongside those from the University of Derby, Ulster University, University of Liverpool and the University of the West of England (Bristol) in the headline 'Best University Halls' category, as well as receiving a nod for 'Best Moving In Experience' and 'Best Booking Experience'. The University is also a finalist for 'Best Student Community'.
Unlike many other Awards, the National Student Housing Awards do not take written nominations or rely on 'expert' judges to make their selections. Instead, all awards are 100% based on direct feedback from tens of thousands of home and international students across the UK and Ireland.
Paul Sibanda, Head of Accommodation at QMU, said: “We are delighted to be a finalist in not one, but four categories at this year’s National Student Housing Awards. It’s incredibly encouraging that our student community has recognised the hard work and commitment that the entire team has put into delivering a positive residential experience, despite all of the challenges that the pandemic has brought. Our students can be assured that their feedback makes a real difference in shaping our services and enhancing the campus living experience.”
The winners are set to be announced in a live virtual awards ceremony on 30 September.
