Statement from Queen Margaret University on East Lothian Council’s Planning Committee approval of proposals

By Press Office

Queen Margaret University welcomes East Lothian Council’s Planning Committee approval of proposals for development around the University campus.

QMU chose to move to East Lothian partly because of the opportunities to work with employers on the land immediately adjacent to the new campus.

The Planning Committee’s decision is the latest in a series of important milestones that have each brought us a step closer to progressing plans for sustainable economic development,  including the provision of facilities of benefit to local residents. The Planning Committee’s decision should  also accelerate plans to complete the A1 junction at QMU to unlock the full potential of the site.
