Graduate Outcomes
Graduate Outcomes is the biggest UK annual social survey and captures the perspectives and current status of recent graduates.
The survey is delivered by HESA. They work with UK universities and colleges to enable all graduates to make their voices heard. Through data collection and analysis, HESA reveal the bigger picture of the career paths and opportunities taken by recent graduates.
All graduates who completed a higher education course in the UK after August 2017 will be asked to take part in the survey 15 months after they finish their studies.
The survey looks to understand whether you’re in employment, have continued with further study or are doing something else and to what extent your qualification played a part. The term ‘outcomes’ in the survey’s name is key – HESA want to gain insight into whether the student experience delivered what you expected, from a learning and potential employment perspective.
Did you look at league tables, The Guardian University Guide or Prospects Career Guides to help you choose where and what to study? If you did, then Graduate Outcomes data would have helped you get where you are today.
You’ll also be helping QMU understand the choices you’ve made since graduation and how this reflects the skills you developed whilst in education. This will ensure we're promoting our programmes accurately to prospective students.

QMU will securely pass on your contact details to HESA for the sole purpose of administering the Graduate Outcomes survey. All you need to do is make sure we have accurate contact information for you – especially a valid email address and phone number. You can do this at any point up to a week before the survey closes. Then make sure you respond to the email survey invitation as soon as you receive it.
