We are delighted that you have chosen to study with Queen Margaret University and we are looking forward to supporting you through your studies. Below you will find details of services which will be available to you as a distance learning student:

Module Selection

Module Selection

Firstly you will need to inform us of the modules who will be studying this academic year. Please do this by contacting the School Office (schooloffice@qmu.ac.uk).

Student ID Smartcard

Your Student ID Smartcard is your key to campus facilities should you choose to use them. The card can also be used as proof of your student status so that you can take advantage of offers and discounts available to students off campus. If you require a Smartcard please email a passport photo of yourself and a scan of your photographic ID (such as a driving license or passport) to registry@qmu.ac.uk

Please click here for more information about Student ID Smartcards.

QMU’s Hub is your online presence in the wider learning environment at QMU and is an important aspect to your study. Tutors may ask you to complete learning activities, submit assignments, access readings or contribute to online discussions, all within the Hub.

Please click here for more information on The Hub.

QMU Email Account

Once you have completed matriculation, you will also have access to your QMU Email Account. We will use this account to keep in touch with you so please ensure you clear out any unwanted emails on a regular basis.

Your QMU email address is your Student Number followed by @qmu.ac.uk (for example 12345678@qmu.ac.uk).

Please click here for more information on QMU Email Accounts
