Emerging Creatives Fund Guidelines

Thanks to the generosity of QMU donors, and as part of our celebrations marking 50 years of drama and performing arts teaching at QMU, the Emerging Creatives Fund has been established to support student opportunities and experiences in extracurricular drama and performance activities.

This year (2023/2024), the Fund will support the full early-bird registration fee for shows that current QMU students (individuals and groups) are taking to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024. The Fund will support up to 4 shows in Fringe 2024.

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival early-bird discount deadline for Fringe 2024 is 8 March 2024. With this in mind, the timeline for the 2023/2024 Emerging Creatives Fund is:

  • Applications open - November 2023
  • Deadline for applications - Monday 29 January 2024, 12pm (noon)
  • Applications reviewed and decisions made - Monday 29 January 2024 – Friday 9 February 2024
  • Students informed of application outcomes - Monday 12 February 2024 (at the latest)

The 2023/2024 Emerging Creative Fund is now closed.
