MA Theatre Education
This programme is delivered by Metropolitan College in Greece. It is validated by Queen Margaret University. Through our rigorous quality assurance procedures we ensure that the programme has the same academic standards as equivalent awards delivered by QMU.
The primary purpose of the MA Theatre Education programme is to cultivate graduates who combine artistic and pedagogical expertise. It achieves this by integrating advanced theatre methodologies with critical psychopedagogical theories, inclusive practices, and rigorous research methods.
The programme is designed to enhance graduates’ employability across a range of educational and cultural contexts. In particular, it supports progression into private, non-formal, and community-based learning environments, where advanced skills in facilitation, applied theatre, and inclusive practice are highly valued. In addition, the programme contributes to graduates’ professional development and may strengthen their profile for opportunities within the wider education sector, including roles that require postgraduate-level expertise, subject to national requirements.
