Placements:
In year 3 all students are offered the opportunity to undertake a 40 credit ‘Experience’ option. Within this, students commonly undertake a substantial placement within an external organisation, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills in a ‘real world’ setting, and gain a valuable insight into both the relevance and the limitations of models, frameworks, debates and practices they have encountered in the classroom. Alternatively, students may undertake ‘New Enterprise Start Up’ a module designed to encourage students to develop a business idea and simulate the task of seeking capital from an outside investor. This focus on Entrepreneurship means that many of QMU’s students go one to develop their own businesses, and we believe this feature of our programmes will set these graduates apart.
