QMU and Widening Access to Education
Our institution has always been committed to widening access to education to those from under represented groups.
Even so, you might be surprised to know that among our earliest students, back in Victorian times, was a woman aged over sixty years.
Not only did she successfully complete a Lady Housekeepers Diploma, but went on to gain employment as a result. (Source Begg, The Excellent Women, pp 65)
