QMU Production wins award at 1990 Edinburgh Festival Fringe

A QMU production, Captain Skullbone and the Haunted Treasure of Goul Bay was the winner of the Edinburgh Evening News Capital Award at the 1990 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Over the years, our students and alumni have won many awards at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

It ran from August 11-18 that year and tickets cost the princely sum of £1!

It sounds fun, described as about “evil pirates, terrifying ghosts, sea monsters. Adventure on the high seas”.

This production was one of two that QMC put on that year, both performed at the Clermiston campus. The other production was a run of Count Dracula.
