Celebrating our 25 year Partnership with Metropolitan College, Greece
In the same academic year as we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we are also delighted to mark the 25th anniversary of our transnational education (TNE) partnership with Metropolitan College in Greece.
Our relationship with the Athens-based institution first began in 2000, with the agreement to develop a validated programme in Logopaedics (Speech and Language Therapy). A degree in Mass Communication followed shortly afterwards. Since then, the partnership has grown to encompass a broad range of programmes from across the University’s portfolio. This means that students in Greece can study for a QMU awarded degree, which is not only recognised in QMU and the UK but is held in high regard all over the world.
Metropolitan College is now the largest private provider of higher education in Greece, with campuses in several Greek cities. Over 3000 students are registered for QMU degrees at the College. Most recently, we have started to offer a four-year BA (Hons) Primary Education degree which will train teachers to work in Greece.
As an early adopter of transnational education (TNE), QMU has a diverse range of students studying for its degrees at several partner institutions across the world, including Greece, Egypt, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan.
We are proud that transnational partnerships are helping expand QMU’s sphere of influence across the globe, and that these partnerships, like the one with Metropolitan College, are helping thousands of students and graduates fulfil their educational and career potential and use their skills and knowledge to make a positive impact across the world.
