Dr Kavi Jagadamma (PhD, PgCert, PGDEI, BSc) is a Senior Lecturer in the Dietetics, Nutrition & Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry & Radiography Division. He is also an Associate member of Centre for Health, Activity and Rehabilitation Research.
Kavi started his career in a voluntary organisation in India working as a physiotherapist and co-ordinator of early intervention services for at-risk children. This role included co-ordination of family centred early intervention services at two different centres, which supported families from low socioeconomic backgrounds. After three years of working as a clinician he joined PhD at Queen Margaret University and completed an exploratory study investigating the effects of tuning of ankle foot orthoses and footwear using 3D motion analyses on gait, function and quality of life of children with cerebral palsy. After completion of PhD, he joined Queen Margaret University as a senior lecturer. He is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy and is involved in design and delivery of modules at undergraduate and post graduate levels. He is also part of various research activities, predominantly in the area of long term neurological conditions.
Kavi is the Elected Academic Staff member on the University Court, appointed on 1 December 2022.
