Volunteering and Recruitment Fairs

Our Annual Recruitment and Volunteering Career Fairs are designed to help your organisation fill part time vacancies, volunteering, work experience and graduate opportunities.

The career events are open to all students across our varied subject areas. The average student overall attendance at the Fairs is between 500-1000.

Students find that this is an excellent opportunity to step into their career, find graduate level work, part time, seasonal or voluntary opportunities. Some employers also use this event to raise the profile of their organisation to attract potential graduates and/or offer them work opportunities whilst studying.

Our September 2024 Fairs are now open for bookings.

1. QMU Internships and Graduate Opportunities Careers Fair (all students but in particular final year students) - Monday 30 September .

This event is designed for graduate employers and those offering paid internships and work experience opportunities. It is also an opportunity to raise the profile of your sector or organisation.

2. Annual Volunteering Fair (all students) - Monday 30 September / Tuesday 1 October.

Students from many subjects rely on volunteering to gain relevant work experience in addition to gaining skills and contribute to the wellbeing of others. Organisations may attend on either Monday 30th September or Tuesday 1st October.

3. Annual Recruitment Fair (part-time work and Christmas recruitment) - Tuesday 1 October 2024.

Ideal for autumn recruitment in the difficult Edinburgh labour market. Limited availability of stalls per sector. Our students live and travel in Edinburgh Lothian and Borders, but they reach as far as Fife or Glasgow.

The three events will be held in the Atrium, Queen Margaret University, EH21 6UU from 11am to 2.30pm on the advertised dates.

Booking deadline is 31 of July 2024. Spaces are limited and generally sell out - early booking is advised.
