Postgraduate Study

Master your future at QMU

Postgraduate study at QMU can help you climb the career ladder in your current profession,  can allow you to change profession, or can be the foundation for an academic career. All our postgraduate courses aim to be professionally and socially relevant to the world we live in and are focused on developing and enhancing your skills and career options.

We offer a wide range of postgraduate courses in the areas of management, business, occupational and arts therapies,  health, creativity, education, global health and public relations.

The University is offering an additional 10% discount on postgraduate tuition fees to this year’s QMU graduates and alumni, on top of their existing 10% discount, when they apply before the end of July 2020 for a programme commencing in 2020/21. This makes the total discount 20%. This additional discount is in recognition of the challenging circumstances that the COVID-19 pandemic presents, and the uncertainty for this year's graduates in relation to the job market.

We know that COVID-19 (coronavirus) has brought great uncertainty, and that applicants to our degree programmes will be very keen to know when they can embark on life at Queen Margaret University and what that experience will be like. We are therefore really pleased to confirm that our autumn semester will start in September as planned and that we are all set to welcome our new students.

Our Induction Week (Freshers Week) will begin for most students as planned on 7th September, with teaching and learning beginning on 14th September. There are a few exceptions so please make sure you check our applicant FAQs. We continue to welcome applications for entry in September.

Flexible routes

Many of our postgraduate courses have a particular focus on upgrading your qualifications and skills whilst limiting disruption to your existing work priorities and personal life. A high number can be studied part-time or have an element of online learning, offering you a variety of flexible learning options.

Teaching informed by our research expertise

Our teaching is informed by our research activity and our academic staff have close links with industry, professional bodies, governmental and non-governmental agencies. This ensures that we’re listening and responsive to the needs of employers and that our teaching, and your skills, are up to date and relevant.

Opportunities to study single modules

You don't need to commit to a full named award (eg MSc, MBA). You can opt to study individual modules from many of the courses listed on our website (see individual course pages for information). As little as one module will enable you to further your knowledge in your chosen area.

So why not step ahead at QMU? See our full range of postgraduate courses or read more about reasons for studying with us.
