One-to-one online session with a Learning Technologist

You can book a 20 minute appointment with one of the Learning Technologists if you need assistance with your module rollover or the Virtual classroom tool.

Course 1: Building a Structured module

This Hub Induction is an overview of the main functionality of using the Hub and introduces good practice guidelines in structuring content. The module will look at structuring the menu with terminology that can be used in all modules to make it easier for students to find their resources.

Course 2: Creating an accessible module

All content in the VLE must be accessible so guidelines on creating content and checking documents are accessible will be covered. Content from previous modules can be copied, updated and reused.

Course 3: Using a virtual classroom/ meeting room

This course demonstrate the interactive features that can be used in online lectures / tutorials/ meetings. You will be provided with good practice guidelines and gain helpful tips for running a successful session.

While we understand that next semester’s move to online teaching is a temporary online pivot, in this short session we will outline a straightforward approach, based on learning design, for those seeking help and support in planning the predominantly online delivery of their modules next semester.
