At QMU we have a long tradition of welcoming students from all over the world. Around 25% of Queen Margaret University students are international coming from over 90 countries throughout the world.

Entry Requirements

For undergraduate courses:

We welcome applications from Bahraini students. Admission to our undergraduate programmes can be made by those holding a relevant diploma or other recognised qualification such as GCE A Levels, International Baccalaureate , American High School Diploma with SAT’s or AP’s or other recognised qualification. Applicants with the Tawjihiya (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) will usually be required to undertake an acceptable foundation or bridging programme.

For postgraduate courses:

We will consider applications from students holding a good Bachelors degree from a recognised university.

 

English Language Requirements

You should hold a recent English language qualification in order to be considered for study at Queen Margaret University. For details of the tests and scores we accept, please click here.

Scholarships, Fees and Funding

The University is pleased to offer a number of competitive scholarships of up to £5,000 each for new international students undertaking their first year of study on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. The scholarship is granted as a reduction of the tuition fee and is available to students who are self-funding with an international tuition fee of more than £9,000 for a single year of study only. Applications can be made by students who have received an offer of a place of study at the University. For more information, please see fees and funding for more information.
