The Bait Essay Scholarship
The Bait Essay Scholarship runs annually and gives all students an opportunity to enter a topical 1500 word essay. The Bait Trust judges these essays and the essay awarded first place is also awarded a £500 grant.

The Bait Trust is an offshoot of Bait Casting Reelz and was initially set up to advocate for healthy outdoor pursuits such as fishing, hunting and swimming. They aim to provide support to enable younger generations to access the outdoors and outdoor pursuits.
Specifically, the Bait Essay Scholarship was launched to encourage students in further and higher education to research health fields, present new arguments and solutions to emerging global issues with a cross disciplinary approach.
