Queen Margaret University climbs the rankings in the Guardian University Guide 2021
Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh moved up 19 places in the Guardian University Guide 2021 and is now positioned in 65th place out of 121 universities in the UK.
The Guide, which was published on 5th September 2020, showed that the University has also achieved strong positions in a number of its key subjects, including 4th top in the UK for Nursing (out of 84 university institutions).
The University’s Principal, Sir Paul Grice, said: “We are delighted with Queen Margaret University’s improvement in this year’s rankings. This reflects the hard work of our academics and professional services staff in delivering high quality, relevant and professional focused courses which are responsive to the needs of the sectors in which our students work and of our changing society.”
The university tables have been compiled for the Guardian by Intelligent Metrix, an independent consultancy that specialises in measuring performance in higher education. Rankings are based on official data collected by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and the National Student Survey.
