QMU graduates take starring roles in new CBeebies pre-school drama

By Press Office

Three Queen Margaret University acting graduates will feature in a brand new CBeebies programme which premieres on television screens across the UK today.

Danielle Jam, James Mackenzie, and Katrina Bryan – all of whom studied acting degrees at QMU – will star in the new pre-school drama series Molly and Mack, which tells the story of eight-year-old Molly and her 18-year-old brother Mack, who runs a vintage toy and record stall in an indoor community market. The series follows Molly’s fun adventures with Mack, her friends and the eccentric but loving group of people who run the various stalls.

Shot in Scotland with an entirely Scottish cast this warm family comedy highlights the efforts of a small community to improve their lives by hard work and through the love of home and family.

Danielle, who graduated with a BA (Hons) Acting for Stage and Screen from QMU earlier this summer, said: Working on Molly and Mack has been an absolute joy. I’ve learned so much with it being my first acting job and can’t wait for the world to finally see it. It’s such a special, feel-good series with a warm sense of community that all the family can enjoy.”
