By Press Office

A graduate from Forfar in Angus has been awarded two top radiography prizes at the recent Queen Margaret University (QMU) graduation ceremony in Edinburgh.

Erin Jones, 25, who attended Forfar Academy, has won the Society and College of Radiographers award for achieving the highest clinical marks of the year and a Postgraduate Pre-registration Diagnostic Radiography prize from QMU’s Radiography Department for having achieved the top academic marks of the year. The Society and College of Radiographers represents the professional, educational and workplace interests of radiographers in the UK and overseas.

Erin graduated with an MSc Diagnostic Radiography (Pre-Registration) with distinction from QMU in July.

Erin had previously achieved a BSc (Hons) Forensic Anthropology from the University of Dundee in 2014 and is already pursing a career as a Diagnostic Radiographer at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Commenting on her radiography awards and experience as a student at QMU, Erin said:

"My time spent at QMU has been worthwhile as the course has prepared me for working as a diagnostic radiographer. I’m very pleased to have received these two awards and I’d like to thank the academic and clinical staff for their help and support."
