Shape the Future of Edinburgh… Over Your Lunchbreak
Throughout its history, Edinburgh has been a city of innovation and change. In 2016, we are a successful city region where our population is growing more quickly than any other major city in the UK, and whose strong economy and quality of life is recognised across the world.
Thursday 23rd March, 12–2pm, QMU campus
With this vibrancy and growth come many challenges. Whether it is increased inequality and pockets of severe deprivation, or increased pressure on our city infrastructure and environment, we know that the city needs to adapt and change again.
Edinburgh needs an ambitious vision; one that we can all understand and buy into. This is why the city is embarking on a project to develop a vision for 2050.
Developing this vision will involve residents of all ages, businesses and groups from all sectors coming together to agree the type of city we all want Edinburgh to be.
Students and staff at Queen Margaret University are invited to take part in a vision workshop, to hear some of the feedback received so far through the City Vision project and discuss your priorities for the future of Edinburgh. This promises to be a fun and interactive way to participate in the City Vision conversation and will take place at the QMU campus.
This event will take place on Thursday 23rd March, 12-2pm and a sandwich lunch will be provided. Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. To book your space, email Dianne Fyfe at firstname.lastname@example.org
