QMU graduate, Linus Peitz, wins top psychology award
A graduate from Alsdorf in Germany has won a top academic award from the British Psychological Society after achieving the highest overall score for his Psychology degree from Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh.
Linus Leonard Peitz, 23, who attended Baesweiler Gymnasium in Baesweiler, graduated with a BSc (Hons) Psychology from QMU earlier this month after being presented with the British Psychological Society Undergraduate Award 2016.
The British Psychological Society is the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK. The organisation is responsible for the development, promotion and application of psychology for the public good.
Commenting on his academic success and QMU experience, Linus said: “Winning this award is just a bonus on top of four great years at QMU, where I especially appreciated the familiar atmosphere of the campus. One of the reasons I picked Queen Margaret was because it offers a lot of one-to-one learning opportunities with lecturers and academic staff and ultimately I believe this is what enabled me to win the British Psychological Society award.”
