QMU is proud to support the #WeAreInternational campaign and celebrate internationalism in UK universities.

The #WeAreInternational campaign is designed to show the value of international students and staff, and the internationalism of UK universities.

Professor Petra Wend, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh, said: “Queen Margaret University is proud to support the #WeAreInternational campaign. We’re an outward looking, internationally focused university that values our European and international students greatly, recognising their crucial contribution to our cultural richness and the diversity of viewpoints in the classroom.

“We greatly value the international research projects involving our staff and those of other institutions. Such work brings together knowledge and perspectives from across the world, often addressing very immediate problems facing society.”

The initiative also being supported by the British Council and Universities UK, among others.

As part of the campaign, the #WeAreInternational team has put together a short film that highlights the value of internationalism across UK universities and demonstrates why we are proud to join together to say #WeAreInternational. It features the voices of students and academics at UK universities from around the world. The film was produced by the University of Sheffield, but is a national campaign, designed to represent all UK universities. As you can see the content is representative of all HEIs and deliberately non-branded so the whole sector can use it.
