Laura Fregonese is Assistant Lecturer with the Lydia Plus Osteoporosis Project (LOP) & Lecturer in the Division of Nursing and Paramedic Science at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. 
Laura begun her career in Italy as registered nurse graduating in 1992. She moved to Scotland in 2003 working in a long care residence and acute hospital clinical areas.
In 2017 she gained a MSc in Advanced Practice (perioperative care). Laura still practices her nursing skills by working flexible hours in trauma theatre at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Laura's genuine interest is to promote and deliver good quality of care with a focus on a person-centred approach. She is currently a part-time PHD student at Glasgow Caledonian University.
