Accommodation Fees

You can arrange to pay your accommodation fees by one of the following methods:

• One payment of the full amount by: debit card, credit card or bank transfer 
• Two equal instalments by: debit card, credit card or bank transfer
• Direct Debit in 4 equal instalments (January – April)
• Recurring card payments in 4 equal instalments (January – April) 

If you choose to pay in one lump sum, payment can be made on or prior to your arrival. 

If you choose to pay in two equal instalments: first payment is due on or prior to arrival and the second payment in the first week of January.

Direct debit instalments can be paid by choosing one of the following payment plans:

PAYMENT PLAN A 9 Jan, 9 Feb, 9 Mar, 9 Apr

PAYMENT PLAN B 30 Jan, 27 Feb, 31 Mar, 30 Apr

To pay by direct debit please print off and complete the direct debit form then post it to the Finance Office or bring it with you when you arrive. Your completed direct debit form should be returned to the Finance Office at least 15 working days before the first instalment date. If you are an EU/international student and intend to open a UK bank account you can arrange this after arrival.

Recurring card payments can also be set up through the Student Portal. Students entering their first year at QMU should wait until after they have matriculated to set up this payment method.

Non UK Bank Account Holders

International students can use TransferMate, to pay tuition and accommodation fees. TransferMate in partnership with Barclays, are pleased to offer a new payment option which allows you to pay your University fees without having to pay any additional international bank fees or charges while giving you a competitive foreign exchange rate.

Pay your fees via TransferMate using a simple 3-step process:

1. Register on the secure TransferMate domain and enter your payment details.
2. You'll receive the exchange rate for that day, choose wire [bank] transfer or credit card as your payment method.
3. Once funds are received by TransferMate, these funds are immediately transferred to the university from Barclays in the UK
