Volunteering and Recruitment Fairs

Our Annual Recruitment and Volunteering Career Fairs are designed to help your organisation fill part time vacancies, volunteering, work experience and graduate opportunities.

The career events are open to all students across our varied subject areas. The average student overall attendance at the Fairs is between 900-1000.

Students find that this is an excellent opportunity to step into their career or find part time, seasonal or voluntary opportunities. This popular event is mainly attended by international students, postgraduate students and first year students. Some employers also use this event to raise the profile or their organisation to attract potential graduates.

Our September 2023 Fairs have now passed. Our September 2024 Fairs will be live for bookings from June 2024.

This year, we hosted our Fairs over 2 days, on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th September 2023. Although we have more availability for employers over 2 days, these fairs always sell out so we advise booking as soon as possible.

We host three events over 2 days:

  1. Internships and Graduate Opportunities Fair
  2. Volunteering Fair
  3. Annual Recruitment Fair

The three events will be held at the Atrium, Queen Margaret University, EH21 6UU.

QMU is always trying to improve the students experience and feedback suggests that students benefit more from in person events on campus, although we will still offer the option for some online engagement for some organisations based outside Scotland.

We are planning a Nursing, Health and Social Care Fair in February 2024. To find out more information about this opportunity, please email careers@qmu.ac.uk

To learn more about the event opportunity as an employer, or to be notified when our 2024 Fairs go live for bookings, please email Juan Garcia (Employability and Development Advisor)
