Access to Higher Education

For many people, coming to university is not a straightforward path following on from school. Some people take time out after their formal school education finishes to travel, work or have a family. Some people choose to retrain and pursue a change in career. There are many reasons why you might be considering university now and we can advise you on how to turn that dream into a reality.

If you can no longer use your school qualifications to get into university, perhaps because they are not relevant or were taken too long ago, then we can recommend an alternative route into higher education. This will likely be a course at a local college – either an Access Course or an HNC/D qualification. Get in touch with us so we can make sure you choose the most suitable path for your chosen degree.

We can also advise you on additional work experience or volunteering you could do to strengthen your application, give you advice on the application process and offer you support for the transition to Queen Margaret University.

We look forward to hearing from you!
