The Careers Service is here to help and support you at any stage in your career planning, in making decisions about your future, to assist you to move on to new employment and/or education opportunities both during your studies and for up to 2 years after you graduate.

The Careers Advisers, Lena Bauchop and Marion Pollock, are located on Level 1 and the careers resource area is right next to the Jobshop and is open from 09.00 until 16.30 weekdays all year round.

Lena graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MA Hons in French and German before embarking on a career in sales and finance. Upon completion of her Post Graduate Diploma in Career Guidance at Napier University in 2004, Lena spent a year working in the voluntary sector and then 4 years in the private sector working in partnership with the MOD assisting military personnel to prepare for the world of work in civilian life. During this time she also completed her NVQ4 in Advice and Guidance. Lena joined Queen Margaret University in 2009. |

Marion has an MA from St Andrews University and worked in publishing for several years before training as a Careers Adviser. Since then she has worked at Stirling University and at Queen Margaret University, where she has been since 2003. |
