What has been the highlight of your time at QMU so far?

The highlight of my time at QMU has been the cultural exchange, settling into a new environment, and making friends from all over the world. I really enjoy learning from people’s diverse culture and experiences, getting to see the world beyond my background. Academically, my personal academic tutor has been of great help, helping me navigate learning challenges, directing me to valuable resources and people to get maximal support for my academic success.

What is one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at QMU?

I wish I knew how supportive the staff are. Before starting my program, I was worried I was not going to get enough support. However, the security, accommodation reception, and Helpdesk staff are always available to help and answer my questions. The accommodation staff have been very supportive, especially with receiving my deliveries. It is comforting to know that my deliveries are safe and will not be tampered with even when I am not within the accommodation.

What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU?

I really love showing prospective students around campus during campus tours. The university’s campus is a small and beautiful, and I love the natural green scenery around the university. Additionally, I get to work with other amazing students and staff in the university, developing my teamwork and communication skills.
