What has been the highlight of your time at QMU so far?

I have really enjoyed meeting and getting to know new people through my course and through the university. Having moved here on my own, student accommodation allowed me to make some good friends and helped me to find my feet. I have really enjoyed my clinical placements so far as I have gained experience in many different settings and with different client groups. Clinical placement allows you to see the impact Speech and Language Therapy has on so many lives, and it helps with linking some of the theory to practice.

What is one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at QMU?

I wish I had known how much support is available at QMU. There are many services available to students, including the Effective Learning Service (ELS) and Personal Academic Tutor (PAT). My lecturers and Class Reps have all been very supportive and are always happy to help. TGIT is also a great initiative as it an opportunity for students to socialise and enjoy a free meal.

What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU?

Being an ambassador for QMU allows me to share my positive experiences at QMU so far. It is a great opportunity for prospective students to gain an insight into life at QMU from current students who have first-hand experience.
