What has been the highlight of your time at QMU so far?

I’ve had so many highlights at QMU but I would say my main one would be the amount of amazing people I’ve been able to meet along this journey! I’ve been able to meet so many different individuals through attending Maggies events, staying in the on campus accommodation, being involved whenever I can and my university course!

My favourite highlight regarding my course would be practical placements and being able to apply my skills and knowledge to clinical settings. I’ve learned so much from different healthcare professionals and its enhanced my learning greatly.

What is one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at QMU?

I wish I knew how welcoming and supportive QMU was prior to starting but you find out very quickly when you arrive. The staff and student team are so supportive and accommodating! The university campus has a community feeling throughout and it’s been amazing to be a part of it. I also never knew that the train station was on campus and only a 6-minute journey to the city.

What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU?

I attended my first open day at QMU and I had no idea what to expect. I arrived and I remember how welcoming the student ambassadors were, they really made me feel at ease and they created such a positive experience. This is why I love being a student ambassador because I want to do the same for upcoming students or visitors. I love helping people and being a part of the QMU team, so this role is important to me!
