What has been the highlight of your time at QMU so far?

My highlight so far is that I can make new connections with different nationals on campus not only in my course but all around the campus and I am so happy that I am able to find out more about student life at QMU. The “Thank Goodness It’s Thursday – TGIT” scheme the university runs, where students are provided with a free evening meal each Thursday has been helpful in building connections and making friends.

What is one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at QMU?

I wish I had known more about the transportation facilities and how easy they are to access. Before I started, I saw pictures of the campus online, I thought we had to walk a bit to get into a bus or train station and in real life not far at all! It’s so convenient. QMU is so close to Musselburgh Beach which is perfect for a quick getaway. More so, we can get into Edinburgh City Centre so quickly! It is only 25 minutes by bus or 6 minutes on the train.

What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU?

My favourite part of being a Student Ambassador is that I can showcase more about the university which I am enrolled in and I can help the future students to help themselves to choose what is best for them I can also provide information to aide the understanding of what QMU can provide to them in both their personal and academic growth 😊
