Hometown: Edinburgh, Scotland

How did you come to choose this course and why QMU?

I always felt the choice of course stemmed from my youth. There was lots of input to my family from nurses and I always felt that it was something I would enjoy doing as a career. This was furthered when I did a work experience placement in 4th year at high school.

Living away from home

Life in Edinburgh – what’s the best experience you’ve had so far in Edinburgh? Are there any hidden ‘gems’ you’d like to share?

Life in Edinburgh? I suppose the fringe festival is the big one to talk about. Lots of colour, excitement and most importantly as a student – free shows. Hidden gems? The view from the top of Arthur's seat is a breath-taking sight, but my favourite has to be from Calton Hill.

"I chose QMU because of its state-of-the -art facilities and scores of great reviews from everyone I spoke to about the course. It has lived up to all the expectations so far."
Liam Randall

The Course

What’s been the highlight so far?

Making new friends and progressing as a group through first year.

Any advice for students who might be interested in this course?

Don’t rush your decision and make sure it is the right thing for you!

Any future plans after graduation?

I've always fancied working in Australia for a while – so probably that.
