About You

Before the course I had been working in internal communications for around 14 years but had no formal qualifications. I decided it was the right time to refresh my skills with an industry recognized qualification. I choose QMU/ Edinburgh as it was my nearest university and I wanted to do the course as a mix of face to face learning and home learning.

The Course

Doing the course is a lot of work while keeping the day job going but the short term pain of late nights and weekend working is worth it. My top tip would be to spread out the work and not to plan a wedding at the same time! The support available was fantastic and the course leader put a lot of time into each student. The ongoing feedback on the final project really helped to shape it.

Life after Graduation

Completing the course gave me a new insight into the theory behind internal communications and I implemented my learning into my day job. I have progressed in my career as I am now a change communications lead. I enjoyed the experience so much that it have carried on my learning and I’m currently studying for a MA in Strategic Communications at UCLAN.
