Physiotherapy - Master's Framework for Post-Registration Study*

In the academic year of 2019-20 the Division of Dietetics, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Radiography (DPPR) will be launching an exciting, educationally and practice relevant Postgraduate Framework.

The Framework will draw on existing post-registration courses, restructured in both content and form to offer greater flexibility in choice and modes of study that are responsive to individual needs and todays culture of work and learning. Part time, full time, work based, face-to-face and online study options will be available. Individual modules can be taken for the purposes of continuous professional development or can lead to a variety of qualifications such as PgCert, PgDip or Masters. Further information on the postgraduate framework can be found on our framework overview page.

The Physiotherapy Pathway will offer a range of modules to enable physiotherapists to develop advanced capabilities within a multi-disciplinary environment.  Learners will be supported in critically evaluating Physiotherapy practice, designing and leading change. Pathway modules will empower students to thrive in current global health and social care contexts and to respond to unpredictable complex situations in a proactive and innovative manner.  Pathway modules will be enable learners to translate knowledge into practice and become dynamic leaders.

This course has been designed to address the multiple needs of UK, EU, and International students. The course enables development for all students; both those with and without clinical experience. It aims to be clinical, flexible and supportive.

We anticipate that applications for the Physiotherapy Pathway will open towards the end of January 2019.
