Each year The Institute for Global Health and Development (IGHD) offers a series of short courses and distance learning for professional development within global health. These short courses are aimed at health care professionals and managers working in the public, not-for-profit or private sectors, and those working in academic centres or government. Participants of the professional development courses will receive a certificate of attendance from the Institute.

Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification.

Professional registration

 These courses do not provide professional registration. 

 

Key details

Outcomes: A number of courses carry 15 credit points at SCQF level 11. These points are credited to you should you subsequently decide to complete further suites of modules that lead variously, to postgraduate certificate, diploma or masters degree. These courses are outlined in our postgraduate prospectus.

Start Date: Any of the modules can be taken as short courses, therefore start dates are throughout the two semesters: Sept-Oct/ Nov-Dec/ Jan-Feb/ March-April.

Duration: 2 - 5 weeks dependent on course
