Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI):  QMU is the first nursing department in Scotland to progress to a STTI Chapter.

STTI supports  scholarship and excellence in nursing practice through its numerous professional development products and services; focusing on the core areas of education, leadership, career development, evidence-based nursing, research, and scholarship.

STTI’s products and services advance the learning and professional development of members and all nurses who strive to improve the health of the world’s people.

Any nurse working in a role with a leadership or administration component included, student nurse (from year 3 onwards) or nurse graduate from QMU or retired nurse.

As a member of the Sigma Theta Tau QMU Edinburgh Honor Society of Nursing you would be part of a community of nurses both at QMU, throughout Scotland and internationally. This network helps you connect with other nurses to discuss nursing leadership and wider research or clinical interests. You will be invited to several academic and social events each year.

As a local member you also have access to the STTI website and international nursing community, conferences, a journal and professional funding opportunities.
